Lauren came to Yoga in the depths of an Alaskan winter in 2010, and soon an internal fire was lit. In a land of extreme isolation and grandiose wild, she found a home and a stillness on her mat. From this stillness, came movement...
In the jungles of Costa Rica, she completed her 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Frog Lotus Yoga International. She lived, practiced, and farmed at Suryalila Retreat Center in southern Spain. In a Lahu Village of Thailand, she fell in love with Thai Yoga massage. She awakened to her responsibility as a modern day yogi in the Himalayas of Nepal. Shortly after, she returned to her home state of Vermont to begin teaching. In 2015, Lauren completed an 800-Hour massage therapy program in the lush and verdant land of Portland, OR.
Lauren has recently transplanted to the majestic valley of Ojai, California where she teaches Vinyasa yoga classes and has a private massage practice. She infuses the asana practice on the mat with metaphor: with each posture, we replicate constriction, expansion, stillness, and movement. In this way, each intelligently-sequenced class is a training ground for living with deeper intention, allowance, and affirmation, all set to the pulse of the ever-flowing breath.
